Computer Class Guidelines for a Happy Classroom!:
*No cell phone is to be used in class unless Mrs. Hartman has asked you as the student to use the phone for an educational purpose. Cell phones must be turned off (not on vibrate) so as to not disturb the class unless specified by Mrs. Hartman. If this rule is not followed, Mrs. Hartman will ask you to turn your cell phone off and give the phone to her. The phone will be turned into the office. If this is not followed, you will be referred to the office for insubordination. Cell phones used for cheating purposes will be dealt with under the Student Code of Conduct.
*Ipods and headphones for listening to music may only be used during project work AFTER instruction has been given by Mrs. Hartman. DO NOT come into the room with an ipod or headphones hooked up to your ears! If you cover your ears, I cannot teach you because you will not be listening. During specified work time, appropriate music with headphones should be played and at a low level so as not to disturb others. If you cannot be respectful with headphone and ipod use, we will not be permitted to listen to music in the lab.
*It is YOUR responsibility as a student to take care of your property including cell phones and ipods. You do not want any theft issues to occur. Place devices in your locker with the lock given to you by the school when devices are not used.
PLEASE POWER OFF ALL DEVICES AND PUT THEM AWAY BEFORE MOVING ON TO THE NEXT CLASS!
*No liquid is permitted in the lab!*There is a video camera in this lab. Harm or theft to any equipment will be dealt with as a police matter.
*Anything that you look up online, type (including e-mail), or read is visible by myself and our technology department. Inappropriate use of computers will be dealt with by administration.
*Do not play games on the computer! Game usage slows down our network and is unnecessary during class time. Everyone in our school is trying to save their work the last few minutes of class. Please sign off when you are completed.
*Notebooks should be left and stored in the room. You need your notes and rubrics to successfully complete projects in the class and many times notes are permitted on quizzes and tests. Lost rubrics will result in a loss of 5 points. *Late work will only be accepted if you have an excused absence. If you choose to not complete an assignment in class when time is given the assignment cannot be made up.
*After two tardies to class you will have an after school detention.
*Book bags are not permitted in the room.
*Hall passes are only permitted if you have YOUR Student Assignment Book. Three passes are permitted per quarter. You should use the restroom during hall changes - you have five minutes!
*Profanity will not be accepted. No warnings. An after school detention will be given.
